October meeting - My Health Record
By the end of 2018, all Australians will have a My Health Record created for them, unless they choose not to have one. The My Health Record is an online repository of your key health information which is controlled by you and can be securely accessed by your healthcare providers. This is particularly of benefit if you are on multiple medications, seeing multiple healthcare providers, travelling or during an emergency when having a My Health Record could provide healthcare professionals access to critical information.
Vignesh Lingam will provide an overview of the My Health Record system and how the upcoming changes affects you.
Brendon Wickham will be discussing some of the privacy and security elements of the system.
Brendon Wickham is the Manager for Digital Health at the South Eastern Melbourne Primary Health Network.
Vignesh Lingam is the Team Leader for the My Health Record team at the South Eastern Melbourne Primary Health Network.
